CASB 2009 Spring Softball League!

Hi Everyone,

 

Just a note to keep you up-to-date on what is happening with the upcoming Spring softball season.

 

Coach's Meeting : Feb 3 7pm-8pm Chapel at the church

Field Cleanup Day : Feb 21st 7am to "we're done!"

League Start : Feb 26, 27 and 28th.

League End : Before Memorial Day...

 

The following people have volunteered to help with the various jobs required to make the league run:

 

1) Denny Laube: field preparation Thurs & Fri from 3pm to 6pm

2) Roland Thompson: league commish for Thurs nights 6pm to 10pm.

3) Mike Brandt: league commish for Fri nights 6pm to 10pm.

4) Trey Bender:  field preparation & league commish for Saturdays 3pm to 10pm.

5) Ernesto Gillette: concession stand food/drinks.

6) Daryl Chastain: field maintenance & repairs

7) Lisa Jett : schedule, administrative duties (collecting $$, hiring umpires, renting field, buying supplies, etc.).  Backup for league commish when others can't be there.

8) Steve McQueen: back up for league commish when possible (not sure about his job situation yet).  

Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to the plate to help.  I appreciate your willingness to serve so much!

 General Information

The Central Association SoftBall League was founded in the early 1960's and is dedicated to promoting Christian fellowship between churches in the Phoenix metropolitan area. We currently have two slow-pitch softball leagues each year:

  • [Spring League] - Februray through May
  • [Fall League] - September through November.

Each league is composed of a Men's division and a Co-Ed division.  All games are played at the First Southern Baptist Church of Phoenix, located at 3100 W. Camelback Road.
